One of the largest software companies in the world, SAP is a German company that creates enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations. The leader in this space, SAP expects to have 1 billion users of its software in 2015.
Before starting at SAP, Mr. McDermott spent 17 years at Xerox and became the company’s youngest corporate officer and division president. He joined SAP in 2002 to lead the company’s operations in the Americas and Asia Pacific Region. Mr. McDermott was named to the SAP Executive Board in 2008 before being appointed Co-CEO in 2010. Since joining SAP in 2002, the company has delivered unparalleled growth in market share, revenue, and customer satisfaction in key markets.
Mr. McDermott is also an active community leader and advocate for corporate social responsibility. In 2008, he was named “Idealist of the Year” by City Year Greater Philadelphia for his civic leadership. He holds an MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and received his bachelor’s degree in business management from Dowling College.
